Southwest Austin neighborhoods are as diverse as the area itself. You can find a range of homes dating back to the 70s and just a few that have lots for new construction. Some homes sit on small 60’ wide lots and some are on large acreage with Hill Country views. Some of the communities are Circle C Ranch, Granada Hills, Legend Oaks, Shadowridge, Lomas Vista, Lewis Mountain Ranch and Oak Hill Heights. Most of the neighborhoods have large mature oak trees because several were developed from old Austin ranches. The area is the southwestern border to our beautiful Hill Country. The area is developing at a good even pace. Escarpment Village brought a food market and a variety of retail stores. Businesses are still popping up on Slaughter Lane and William Cannon. New construction will bring Alamo Drafthouse in the near future along with a new retail center. Day spas, banks, restaurants, gift boutiques and other convenient shopping plus the close proximity to downtown Austin makes this area of Austin desirable.
